Projects

Projects change with the seasons and the individual needs of the people.Listed below are some of the ongoing projects
while others are completed on an as needed basis.

House Building & Home Repair
Repairing homes and fences for the poor and elderly
Frequency: as funds are acquired

House Building

When the funds to build a house are collected we work with the pastors to find a family in need of housing. The family does not have to be a Christian to obtain this blessing, but to be in need. The family must own the land or be making regular payments on the land before we build the home. We constanly communicate with the family and neighbors that the blessing they are receiving is from God and, if they are not belieives, share the Gospel message with them. We also advise them of the pastor and church located nearest to them. A Bible is presented to them when we give them the keys to their new home. Usually some of the exterior work and the interior finishing of the house are done by members of the family.

Home Repair

Medical Assistance.
Frequency: as funds are acquired and as needed

Provide non-prescription vitamins to pastors, especially for children, for the distribution to people in the community.

One day Medical Clinics in outlying communities scheduled periodically.

Prison Ministry
Prison visitation:
Frequency: on going

The Prison Ministry has changed a lot in the past few years. Currently Lucy is visiting the women on Mondays (usually 2-3 times a month) and continues to provide them with necessities (feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, undergarments, snacks, etc.). They also do Bible studies, sing and pray together. The men’s side has made some drastic changes. Due to a new Director they have reduced the number of people going in with the ministry program. Dennis has decided to refrain from going in so one of the local Mexican men can have the opportunity to minister to his fellow countryman. Dennis will continue to pray for the men and the prison ministry and provide Bibles and other educational supplies along with blankets and clothing as necessary.

We have been able to provide blankets and winter clothing to many prisoners each fall and have a Christmas Posada each December and will continue to do so as long as we are allowed.

Prison Medical Assistance
Frequency: on going

Provide medical assistance to prisoners located at the prison in Puerto Peñasco.

Currently we have not had to provide any medical assistance because a group of doctors from Phoenix have been doing the clinic on a regular basis. We will resume medical clinics when and if the need arises.

Prison Library Books
cancelled

The prison library had to be discontinued because all the books disappeared and so did the cart. We would like to try it again in the future but only if there is stricter controls and less theft. We will keep you posted if there is a change.

Women's Rehab Center
Frequency: on going

Tangible items, building projects and funds provided on an as needed basis.

Women are provided supplies for knitting, sewing and material for making Piñatas. Skills are learned and some items made are offered for sale, with the funds raised going to help the clients.

Local Church Assistance
Food banks, clothing, blankets, Bibles and musical equipment. Frequency: on going

We provide food, clothing and blankets to pastors that will be distributed to the needy in the community at the appropriate time. We also provide them with Bibles for distribution to the members and community.

Meals for Church Outreach Programs
Frequency: on going

When pastors in Puerto Peñasco, El Diamante and El Desemboque have an outreach ministry program in their community, we support them by providing meals to the people attending that service.

School Uniforms
Annually: late summer

Provide required school shirts and money to purchase uniforms to families who can not otherwise purchase uniforms to enable their children to attend school. A uniform costs on the average of $50 and all children in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico are required to have one to attend school. We work with the local pastors to identify families who need assistance with this need.

Children's Ministry
Outreach Programs
Minister the Children

Children’s Ministry Outreach Programs

Assisting pastors by providing them with office equipment (copiers and printers) that will help them spread their message.

"Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage-to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they'll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life."
