The families and children living in these barrios have captured the hearts of Dennis and Lucy. They felt a call to share the love of God in a tangible way with the people of Mexico. Dennis and Lucy began facilitating the Mexico Mission Life Group at Pantano Christian Church (www.PantanoChristian.org ) in Tucson, AZ to guide others in serving our brothers and sisters across the border. In February of 2006, Dennis and Lucy sold their business and began Manos de Dios, to be able to devote their lives full time to ministry in Mexico. Manos de Dios, assisted by members of the Mexico Missions Life Group, the Rock of Sahuarita Church and others continue to be active in building homes for families, stocking food banks, serving meals, providing household items and assisting in starting microbusinesses. Dennis and Lucy have a heart for the families in the barrios, and the men and women in prison and spend time visiting them every month. This year's plans for Manos de Dios include: facilitating a medical clinic in the Puerto Peñasco prison; providing a "water fun day" in a barrio in Peñasco; sponsoring a youth concert outreach in El Diamonte; assisting in a community outreach in Desemboque, plus more. Dennis and Lucy have developed relationships with and come along side eight evangelical pastors and several missionary families living and serving in Sonora, Mexico. These pastors and missionaries and their wives are spending their lives serving, supporting and teaching the families of Mexico. When in the cities and pueblos of Sonora on work trips, Manos de Dios volunteers worship on Sundays in one of these churches alongside their Mexican friends. We covet your prayers for Manos de Dios, this ministry to the people of Mexico. Our Prayer Presentations:
"But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure;
then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good
fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise
a harvest of righteousness." James 3: 17-18
